Never mind the effects (I agree they are great) What a class image to have taken in the first place- the position of the birds feet and the head just under the wings, which have so much detail. This definately ticks all my boxes. Awesome!!!

It's an exceptional image. I can't think of how to improve it. I only wish I could do something similar. Well done.

Thanks all for the positive comments which have given me the the encouragement to carry on with the effect.Seagulls are not a problem to capture as a few slices of bread attract them just in range of my 70 - 200 lens.I look forward to produce more images with this effect.
