I took this when I lives in Jersey, Its a beautiful little island between Jersey & France, there is only about 3 houses on this island and due to the tide it looks different every time you go.

Catherine Hall 22:07 - 08 March 2007Wow DEAN!!!! This is beautiful. Some may say the sun is a bit burnt out behind the house but on this occasion I think it adds atmosphere. Going in my favs.
Alan Brown 06:52 - 09 March 2007This really is very pleasing to view. The composition is well balanced, the colours gentle, and the content 'beautiful' ( I'll use your description Dean . . . because it is spot on ) And of course, even the birds played their part. A cracker! You can teach that mate of yours a few things about landscapes!!!
Twiz 10:25 - 09 March 2007really lovely scene, with very light shades, the sun behind the house looks a bit unreal and therefore makes the picture almost look like a painting from a fairytale book.

nice image, Dean. is this a composition of more than one photo? for the sun being so low, there are no shadows and I can see the 'dark' side of the houses clear as day even though the camera is facing directly into the sun. it's very surreal. nice sky, mind you!

Captured! The sky is from about a minute early same place, however, it was slightly more to the left of the house (not much though) I was left with a really burnt out sky on the oringinal image and spent hours fixing it in elements the long way round as I was completely hopeless when I took this. Either way I was one of those nights well spent when you dont end up back where you started! Thanks for all your comments guys keep them coming cheers Dean
