Half completed captions leave scope to make it suit your own line of thinking . . . rather than just be on the receiving end (so to speak)

In a way, the truncated caption causes you to focus more on it than you would if it were all present and accounted for. Of course, you left enough to imply the potential of our grand daughters someday indicting our generation.

This shows how important it is for your children or grandchildren to own a red cardy or jumper and when they grow out of it buy them a new one or keep one in your camera bag! It wouldn't have the same impact with any other colour!

  • Be sensitive, but make it clear what you think of a photograph and the response it generates.
  • Try to indicate whether the response being sought by the photographer had been achieved, and if not, outline the way/s in which it has not succeeded.
