Clean air seems to help promote the growth of these colourful lichens, which add so much to the shot. (I found similar gravestones in Scotland, and was compelled to photograph them)

I really like the mixture of the curves of the snow covered hills and the different angular roofs on the houses. That and the strong colours do it for me.
