I've never been able to justify to myself (and one other significant person!) the cost of such a lens. . . . despite all the creative potential it offers.
The trick with such extreme lenses, I think, is to find subject matter which is not forced to play second fiddle to the lens (and vice versa) This does that well, probably because of the strong lines everywhere. I look forward to seeing more of your efforts with the lens Dave.

Like it Dave,I was stuck under such a place today waiting at a level crossing and i wondered how to best photograph it.

What a great effect that lens has - and great subject matter too. I would like to see what effect that lens has on the complex lines of the 'Cheesegrater' building - see my post for today.

When adding your comments to other peoples photographs:

  • Be sensitive, but make it clear what you think of a photograph and the response it generates.
  • Try to indicate whether the response being sought by the photographer had been achieved, and if not, outline the way/s in which it has not succeeded.
