Still inside the dome on the Reichstag . . . . but this time with a shift of emphasis. (and a bigger personal stamp on the outcome)

Great shot - what a building, it's a beauty! You have a far better head for heights than me Alan, I just couldn't have taken this shot, my vertigo would've set in - so I can enjoy the view from the safety of my chair by looking at your picture instead, thank you :-)

A lot more going on in this image than the first glance suggests, reflections ,lines ,people, mono colour its all in there
a really well composed and well seen image.

David D 20:17 - 17 January 2010but how long did you wait for the perfect combination of people to happen?
Alan Brown 20:35 - 17 January 2010The figure at the bottom is a security guard who was walking backwards and forwards all the time. The challenge was to get a complementary figure on the walkway. Of about eight shots taken this stood out 'head and shoulders' above the rest (even though it has removed 'head and shoulders'! :)
Steve Pratt 21:29 - 17 January 2010The mono treatment of the upper floors really makes the floor stand out - its almost golden - like its been gilded.
Scott Robertson 08:45 - 18 January 2010Alan - I think this is very Alfred Hitchcock, vertigo by name but maybe North by NorthWest by design. A very strong image and as always the inclusion of a human figure (you're trademark?) makes the image for me.
