It all started with a Praktica MTL3 my Dad bought me when I was about 16, but it took an evening class GCSE photography (a birthday present from my wife in 2004) to get me taking anything more than holiday snaps with it. This also introduced me to wet processing and got me in a darkroom for the first time.
The old Manual SLR's saw another outing for my AS level in 2007/08, any excuse while I had access to a darkroom. However, for most of my photography since 2005, a D70 and more recently a D90 have become weapons of choice.
(My profile photo was taken by my wife, using her trusty canon sureshot megazoom105 with Fuji Superia 400, while we were resting on a hike up Mt. Abraham in Vermont.)
